Paramedicine Student and Emergency Medical Responder:

In 2022 I decided to pursue a >40 year old dream of emergency medical response, started a Bachelor of Paramedicine and rejoined St John Ambulance as a volunteer. Over the last three years I have had the opportunity to volunteer at several large events (Royal Sydney Easter Show, Marathons, Cycle Races, Music Festivals, City-to-Surf, Sydney NYE Celebrations) and work professionally as Emergency Health Responder for Sydney Airport and in 2022 on a 10-day flood deployment.

As part of my degree I spent a month in 2023 as an EMT and student paramedic working with Acadian Ambulance in New Orleans, LA, USA and a month in 2025 as student paramedic for NSW Ambulance.

Passions and Purpose:

I am married to Lucy, father to Leah, Emily, Amanzi, and Charis, and grandfather to Alex, Blair, and Penny. At St Matt’s Anglican I worship with guitar, drums, and first aid. I have been working on learning the trumpet for some time.

I continue to explore and travel, preferably on an adventure motorbike

Creative endeavours include: videography, photography, 3D printing, home automation, creating with AI, and writing.
